最近思うこと
友達に書いていたメール、書いているうちに熱くなってきてしまって（笑）
最近の思いを一気に書いてしまったので、他の人にも読んでほしいな、と思ったのと
自分の振り返り日記として、ブログにも載せちゃいます。

コロンビアでの生活、日記に書いていない事も多いけれど
楽しいこと、落ち込むことなど様々です。
（ありがたいことに、辛いって感じることはほとんどないよ～）
行く前と比べて全然違う事っていうと、
コロンビアはもちろんスペイン文化が基本なんだけれど
アメリカの影響がとっても大きくて、商業を見てるとアメリカみたい。
都市には大きなショッピングモールやスーパーがあって
流行に乗った洋服、豊富な食材がいつでも手に入るの。
私の任地も県庁所在地なのでそういった感じ。
というか、コロンビアは未だにゲリラが存在する国なので
治安の関係上、JICA関係者の任地はすべて県庁所在地なんだよね。
ただ、田舎に行くと雰囲気ががらっと変わります。
私は田舎の雰囲気の方がコロンビアらしさが残っているようで好きだけど
日本と一緒で若者の都市移動が進んでいるみたい。
（でも田舎っていってもすごく田舎は安全上行けないので
そこに行ったらもっと違う雰囲気なのかも）
で、コロンビアの都市の綺麗な所にいると、まったくもって
「途上国」のイメージはないよ。
桜木町のみなとみらいとかお台場みたいな雰囲気だったりするし。
街行く人もお洒落だし、輸入食品、輸入化粧品も高いけどあるし。
けれど、同じ都市の中でも貧困地区に行くと
「これが歩いていける範囲にある同じ町なの？」ってびっくりする。
いわゆる「都市のスラム」だよね。
日記にも書いたけれど、貧困家庭の収入の少なさ（収入ゼロの家庭も）は
「どうやって生活しているんだろう。。」と心痛みます。
親戚関係や近所の助け合いがあって成り立っているみたいだけれど。
今年は失業率が少し改善したらしいんだけど、それでも12％
仕事がない、って状態らしい。
（ただ、仕事のやる気の無い人もいる）
田舎は全体的に貧しい雰囲気があるけれど、都市の貧富の差を見ていると
田舎の方が幸せそうに感じられるよ。。。
近くに圧倒的なお金持ちがいたら、やっぱり羨ましく思っちゃうよね。
それが身近な犯罪につながっているとも思うし。
それにともなって、仕事とお金と経済の関係についてってなんだろう？
ってすごく考えるようになった。
それと、同じ街で活動中のソーシャルワーカー隊員から環境の事などを
色々教えてもらって、より一層、経済中心の今の世界について
疑問を感じるようにもなってきたよ。
「開発」や「発展」って本当に必要なのかな？
どこまで進み続けるのかな？
なんて。
日本では戦後の経済発展によって「豊か」な社会になったって言われる。
でも物質的に豊かになった日本で、今、精神的に問題を抱える人って増えてきてると思う。
私の周囲でも精神的に参ってしまった人の話をよく耳にする今日この頃。
そういう事を考えていると。
変わるべきなのは日本やアメリカなのかな、なんて強く感じたりするよ。
でも日本に帰ったらどうなるかな、、、なんて思いながら
今後の進路についても考え出したりしていることです。
なんだか取りまとめの無いメールになってしまったけれど、、、
こんなような事をこのところ考えてます。

最近、美味しんぼ の とんかつおじさん ってのを教えてもらいました。
「とんかつ をいつでも食えるぐらいになりなよ。それが人間。貧乏過ぎもせず、裕福過ぎもせず、ちょうど良いってトコなんだよ。」
ちょっとコロンビアには合わない言葉ですが、日本で生活している私には、心に響きました。

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
